Charging Stations Installed In Extremely Cold Climates
THE CHALLENGE
This is a project in Norway. The local temperatures there can be as low as -30℃. At such a low temperature, conventional TPE or TPU cables can become hard and difficult to use, even crack easily, creating safety hazards. The device would often be covered with snow, which is also a big challenge for the IP rating and electrical performance of charging stations.
OUR SOLUTION
We equip all the devices with specially customized TPU cables which can maintain cables' flexibility in extremely cold temperatures, and large particle lines are added to the cables' surface that not only distinguish them from ordinary cables in appearance, but also make them feel better and more non-slip.
We also use customized sealing devices to ensure that they do not deform or contract in extremely cold conditions. At the same time, a high-performance antifreeze coating has been added to the interior and industrial LCD displays for extremely low temperatures to ensure stability.
And considering the ease of use, we recommend the client to use a spring wire for quick collection in complex climates. The effect is very good.
SUMMARY
In extremely cold climates, the use of charging stations is much more demanding, requiring not only a very stable performance of the product itself, but also extensive project experience from equipment suppliers. Thanks to our many years' experience, the right mix of materials and components, and the professional handling of all the details, we can advise our clients from a more professional perspective and ultimately achieve a better product experience.
