Ordinary consumers often see the news of charging piles and notice that there are many types of charging piles in the information. It may not be clear to distinguish these. In fact, the charging piles with different names here refer to the same type of charging piles. Pile, such as indoors and outdoors according to the installation location of the charging pile; the installation unit government, enterprise, individual; the pile installation method vertical, wall-mounted; Collected some information and pictures, very easy to distinguish! 1. Classified by installation conditions, mainly divided into vertical charging piles and wall-mounted charging piles. The vertical charging pile does not need to be against the wall and is suitable for outdoor parking spaces or residential parking spaces, while the wall-mounted charging pile must be fixed on the wall and is suitable for indoor and underground parking spaces. 2. Classified by service objects, mainly divided into public charging piles, special charging piles and self-use charging piles. This is just a distinction between the uses of charging piles, and the charging piles of different service objects can also be interchanged. Public charging piles are purchased by government agencies and other institutions with a public service nature, and the service targets are for any electric vehicle owner, such as public parking lots. The dedicated charging piles are mostly built by enterprises, serving customers and internal personnel, such as shopping mall parking lots. Self-use charging piles are private charging piles, which are installed in private areas and are not open to the public. 3. Classified by installation location, mainly divided into indoor charging piles and outdoor charging piles (well understood). The protection level of indoor charging piles needs to be at least above IP32, while outdoor charging piles need to face the harsh environment of wind and rain, and need better insulation and lightning protection conditions. The protection level must reach at least IP54 to ensure personal safety, body safety and Charging equipment is safe. 4. Classified by the number of charging ports, mainly divided into one-charge charging pile and one multi-charge charging pile. At present, the charging piles on the market are mainly one pile, one charging type. In a large parking lot such as a bus parking lot, multiple charging piles are required to support the charging of multiple electric vehicles simultaneously, which not only speeds up the charging efficiency, but also saves labor. 5. Classified by charging type, mainly divided into AC charging piles and DC charging piles. AC charging piles generally have low current, small pile body, flexible installation, and a full charge generally takes 6-8 hours. They are suitable for small passenger electric vehicles and are mostly used in public parking lots, large shopping centers and community garages. Most of the charging piles are AC charging piles. However, DC charging piles generally have high current, and the charging capacity in a short period of time is larger, the pile body is larger, and the occupied area is large (heat dissipation). DC charging piles are suitable for fast DC charging of electric buses, minibuses, hybrid buses, electric cars, taxis, engineering vehicles, etc. (The picture above is a DC charging pile, and the picture below is an AC charging pile).
