Recently, Wu Zhixin, deputy general manager of China Automotive Technology and Research Center Co., Ltd., said that the number of new energy vehicles in China is expected to exceed 160 million in 2035 when he participated in the third phase of the Energy China Forum in Haikou. In terms of phased goals, according to the medium and long-term development plan of the automotive industry and industry consensus, the development of automotive electrification will be accelerated in the next 15 years, and the market share will increase rapidly. It is estimated that by 2025, the number of new energy vehicles will exceed 25 million, accounting for 15% to 25% of sales; in 2030, sales will exceed 80 million, accounting for 30% to 40%; in 2035, sales will exceed 160 million, Accounted for 50% to 60%. The China Commercial Industry Research Institute also predicts that the market size of traditional automotive cables in China will be about 12.3 billion yuan in 2020, and the market size of new energy automotive cables will be about 1.35 billion yuan. 1. Vehicle electrification. Under the trend of intelligence, automotive cables usher in a new growth point. With the transformation of traditional fuel vehicles to new energy vehicles, different from the low-voltage cables required by traditional vehicle engines, the high-voltage cables required by new energy vehicle power batteries have a working voltage of 600V or even 1000V, and high temperature resistance, shielding performance, and corrosion resistance need to be considered Factors such as flexibility, thin wall, softness, and electromagnetic compatibility with automotive electrical systems. Therefore, high-voltage cables for new energy vehicles are more valuable than traditional automotive cables. High-voltage cables have high added value and belong to a purely incremental market, which is growing rapidly with the development of new energy vehicles. Compared with traditional cars, the electronic and electrical functions of intelligent network cars have increased, which increases the amount of cables in the car. 2. Try lightweight car cables. With the rapid development of automotive electronics and informatization, the functions of automotive electronic appliances are increasing. The extensive use of automotive electronic equipment has made the electrical wiring of the car longer and longer. The increasing complexity and weight of automotive wiring harnesses has also led to an increase in vehicle cost and energy consumption. In order to comply with the trend of energy conservation and environmental protection, and to meet the space layout requirements of automobile design, the lightweight of automobile cables is the direction of major manufacturers' efforts. 3. Imports will gradually replace high-voltage cables. XLPE cables or silicone rubber cables are mainly used in new energy vehicles. XLPE cables have a low grade of high temperature resistance, but good wear resistance. U.S. automakers mostly opt for XLPE. Silicone rubber cables have high temperature resistance, but poor wear resistance. German car manufacturers mainly choose silicone rubber cables. XLPE cables and silicone rubber cables are the choice of domestic automakers. High-voltage cables have high technical quality requirements and are difficult to produce. Currently, they are mainly imported. With the improvement of domestic cable manufacturers' technical capabilities, XLPE cables and silicone rubber cables used in new energy vehicles will be transferred to domestic cable manufacturers for production, and import substitution will gradually be realized. .
